A game for Android phones! Find it on play store here:
Once upon a time, humans were whole. Two heads, four arms, four legs - perfect.
However, Zeus split the humans in two, leaving them to wander the Earth searching for their soulmate. With his bow and arrow, Eros has ever since tried to reconnect the people on Earth.
Emerge in an alternative presentation of the Greek mythology. Help Eros make up with the new trend of dating apps and match the 'right' people - the old school way!
Eros' Arrows is a F2P Game developed as the final game at the DADIU Programme 2018 by Team 6.
My role for the production was the Game Designer.
Eros’ Arrows is a casual game developed for smartphone, that takes place in a bar with the Greek Gods Eros (God of Love) and Zeus (King of Gods). After dating apps have made his job practically unnecessary, Eros has fallen into a midlife crisis, sitting in bars drinking and watching unhappy people, being consumed by their phones.
The player has to drag down on the screen to clamp the bow. When released the arrow flies and bounces of the walls. Two people needs to be hit with a single arrow in order to get matched. There are both good and bad matches available. When hit the people will get dstuck to the arrow and fly along to their match.
The interesting part of this game was to develop the core mechanics and Lore. As part of the lead team I was in charge of Developing the concept and discuss different approaches. One of the personal proudest moments was the idea of including stop motion as a sketching tool for temporal feedback in the game. This has since been implemented into the programme. A short video of the process from sketch to final product can be seen here.

Below is an example of how I Illustrated the core concept.
I Created a design document with included pictures and ideas for the team to align. The design document was updated frequently during the production time. It can be seen here or by clicking on the picture above.
